Totality returns to Spain on 2 August 2027—this time in the south, in the late morning.
The Moon's shadow crosses the Strait of Gibraltar at around 10:45–10:50 official peninsular time. According to IGN, totality covers Ceuta, Melilla, almost all of the province of Cádiz, much of Málaga and the southernmost parts of Granada and Almería, with up to 4 minutes 48 seconds in Ceuta. The rest of Spain sees a partial eclipse, so glasses stay on throughout.
